Objectives: This article presents you the design and the implementation a cardiovascular health education strategy aimed at employees of an educational institution which was conducted by a group of students from the nursing school of Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia. Subjects and methods: For the development of this proposal dialogic workshop was used as a tool within the Research-Action-Participation, which favored greater interaction among workers and facilitators in this case were students. This methodology sought further towards the participant without the imposition of knowledge on a given topic. Results: Workers were identified cardiovascular risk factors through medical record review and the application of a risk characterization tab cardiovascular once had this information, a first dialogue which seeks to identify the knowledge we had and areas where greater emphasis was required as a result raises the following issues: my food, the rhythm of my heart, how to be happy in my work. As a result of this intervention was identified the characteristics of this group of workers in terms of cardiovascular health and prevention form according to their individual needs. Conclusions: The cardiovascular risk is an issue of great impact on the health of workers, so it is necessary to conduct participatory interventions simultaneously with the construction worker that would achieve significant learning and reflection about this risk
