The “Nuclei of Familiar Education” (NEF) appeared in 1990 as a proposal for communitary work in order to prevent violence on school, family and neighborhood, interacting with those families which compose the school community as well as with the neighborhood reality to which they belong. NEF’s present themselves as an alternative way of relationship between family and school in order to foster new social bounds which not only improve the educational quality but engage themselves as well with the transformation of specific realities which are experienced on the family and neighborhood environments, building and fostering the valuable social capital a school constitutes. We purpose to create NEF as an alternative for a community to build up its own knowledge, to analyze its everyday life, its nearest relationships and its vital environment, so that through that knowledge and building of sense, it may be decided on which fields to work looking forward to organize and foresee for the children the conditions with the lest social risk
