The thermal performance of a dwelling in the tropical humid climate depends mostly of the technical solution and the shape of the roof. In order to generate quantitative data that enriches the project design procedures for housing in these zones of Colombia; this research proposes an experimental exercise by monitoring scale models, which represent the general conditions and shape patterns of the housing for these climates in the country. As a conclusion, this article describes the importance of air circulation, the amount of roof area and the relation between the two.
