TEACHING ANTHROPOLOGY IN COLOMBIA: AN ANTHROPOLOGY OF CITIZENSHIP. This text shows the nuisances in the teaching of anthropologists in Colombia, especially in the National University of Colombia. Its central thesis is that there is in Colombia a structural tension between the knowledge of the traditional anthropological paradigms in the dominant metropolitan schools and the local commitment of the anthropologist with the national confl icts that he faces as a citizen. This is contrasted with the pretension of universality in the metropolitan anthropologies and refl ects in the teaching of anthropologists in 13 schools in different regions of the country.
