The purpose of this paper is to show the results of an exploration of published articles concerning research studies conducted in the last 10 years on the subject of violence in the workplace. Sixteen articles were consulted (5 empirical, 11 theoretical) which were published in scientific journals in Colombia, in public and private universities, government institutions, and academic databases. The paper is structured in three parts. The first part presents the methodology. The second presents the results of the exploration, which highlights the problems that have been discussed in research on workplace violence. The third part contains the conclusions about the results.
