RESUMEN La evaluacion del desempeno docente permite establecer el control de calidad de los procesos y del desempeno de los responsables de las acciones previstas para dar cumplimiento a la mision y la vision planteadas en el Proyecto Educativo Institucional. El subsistema de evaluacion del desempeno del profesor de la Universidad, se constituye en uno de los pilares de la evaluacion y de la autoevaluacion institucional. Dicha evaluacion debe ser coherente con criterios universalmente aceptados en el medio academico y sus resultados deben ser incorporados al mejoramiento de las condiciones de desarrollo dentro del contexto academico, en lo normativo, en lo operativo y en lo actitudinal. En este articulo se aborda la evaluacion, desde una vision holistica y sistemica, como la valoracion del deber ser; y los resultados obtenidos hasta la primera prueba piloto del sistema. Los enfoques a utilizar en funcion del destino de la informacion, sus caracteristicas, las funciones que cumple, los fines que persigue y sus usos estan articulados al Modelo Pedagogico de la Universidad, donde el rol del docente es fundamental en su desempeno como Profesional de la Educacion Superior y se presenta una experiencia local en el diseno de un sistema de evaluacion del desempeno docente en la Universidad de Cundinamarca. SUMMARY The evaluation of the teacher’s work establishes the quality control of the process, and the tasks of responsibly of the actions to makes up the mission and vision of the Institutional Educative Project. This subsystem of evaluation of the teacher is one of the fundaments of the institutional autoevaluation and evaluation. Such evaluation must be coherent with accepted universal criteria in the academic world and its results must be incorporated to improve of the development conditions within the academic context, in the rules, the operational and the attitudes. This writhing takes the evaluation with an holistic and systematic vision, like the must be test, the obtained results until the first pilot test of the system. The views it is going to do, the destinity of the information and its characteristics, the tasks it does and its uses within de Pedagogical Model of the University where the teacher rol is fundamental in his work like a Higher Education Professional.
