The educational praxis considers -on its infinity- not only the academic aspect but also the systematic reflection about the agreement between human dimensions and learning when thinking in a comprehensive education for children. If educating is one of the School tasks, it is necessary the attendance of children to this place so that it can be developed. For making it possible, both learning motivation and academic achievement are implicit categories to this formative function. Thus, the following hermeneutic qualitative research emerged; allowing finding the perceptions about learning motivation and the academic achievement in fifth grade students of the Educational Institution “San Fernando Cuba” in the Municipality of Pereira.
