En este articulo se hace una revision de la literatura y se reportan cinco casos de talon cuspideo en los que se pueden observar diferentes expresiones morfologicas del mismo. Asi mismo se pone en evidencia el desafio funcional y estetico que representa el manejo clinico de este rasgo morfologico dental y las opciones terapeuticas mas conservadoras. Adicionalmente se resalta la importancia del manejo interdisciplinario de estos rasgos morfologicos dentro del contexto de la odontologia, la antropologia y la odontologia forense dada su frecuencia y variabilidad. ABSTRACT. The purpose of this article is to review the literature and report five cases in which different morphological expressions are observed. Also, it approaches the esthetical and functional challenges that these cases represent for the clinical management of this dental morphological dental trait, and the most conservative treatment options. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to treatment of these morphological traits within the context of dentistry, anthropology and forensic dentistry, considering its frequency and variability.
