Resumen El presente articulo recopila el trabajoacademico realizado en el Seminario Tendenciasdel Management de la Facultadde Ciencias Economicas, Administrativasy Contables de la Fundacion UniversitariaCatolica del Norte. Durante su primeraversion (marzo 2014) se desarrollarondos tematicas orientadas al fortalecimientodel profesional en administracionde empresas: las competencias del administradory la empresa sustentable. Compilaentonces, reflexiones que abordan lastematicas antes mencionadas, escritaspor tres de los ponentes que participarondel Seminario. Se espera que esta sintesisreflexiva, a manera de memoria delevento, se convierta en materia de consultapara trabajos academicos e investigativosfuturos. Abstract This article compiles the academic workperformed in the seminar called “ManagementTendencies” of the EconomicScience, Management and Accounting Facultyof the Catholic of the North UniversityFoundation. During the first version(March 2014) of this seminar two subjectswere developed oriented towardsthe strengthening of professionals in companymanagement: competence of managerand sustainable companies. This articlecompiles reflections dealing with thetwo subjects already mentioned; thesereflections were written by three speakersparticipating of the seminar. We hope thatthis thoughtful summary, similar to a proceedingsdocument derived from the seminar,becomes a reference document forfuture academic and research works.
