The following article presents the results of the second phase of the line of research in technology and design, whose theme focuses on the study of bamboo—Guadua—as a material with high potential for technological development in the manufacture of products. The article seeks to assess the level of innovation in the design of bamboo products in the Center Western Metropolitan Area and to identify the most successful ones. Departing from an industrial design perspective, the article offers guidelines for the manufacture of bamboo products that go beyond conventional views and displays the possibility for technological development.
