El ensayo bosqueja una observacion etnografica sobre el tema de las subjetividades juveniles que toman cuerpo en el contexto del movimiento Hip-Hop en la ciudad de Cartagena. A modo de introduccion se describe el contexto de las preguntas de investigacion. En un primer momento se expone una rapida arqueologia de la tematica juvenil en la investigacion en el nivel regional. Seguidamente, se ofrece la exploracion de la relacion jovenes-musica, tomando como ejemplo el caso de la recepcion y circulacion de la musica Rap en Cartagena, describiendo la referencialidad cotidiana de los sujetos desde los textos de las canciones de Rap. Luego se explicitan las relaciones de esta experiencia de investigacion, con la discusion sobre la conexion que es posible establecer entre las practicas identitarias de los jovenes y el contexto. ABSTRACT The present document attempts to sketch an ethnographic observation that I have been working on quite sometime. It´s about juvenile subjectivities embodied in the context of the Hip-Hop movement in Cartagena. The context of the research questions is described as an introduction. A first moment introduces an archeological kind of look to the inquiry related to the juvenile topic. Afterwards, I present the exploration of the relation youth-music; I take the case of reception and circulation of rap music in Cartagena as an example. Throughout the study of rap lyrics, I describe the daily living of these subjects associated with this kind of music. Finally, I bring out the importance of this research experience and try to relate it with the discus-sion about youth’s self-defining practices and the context.
