All kind of expectations have been created by the enactment of the Act 1480 of 2011 in Colombia. While some expect a magic solution to all of their problems, others believe that this Act, due to technical errors and lack of clarity, has destroyed the scant protection consumers used to have. This investigation, composed by different papers, pretends to study the new Consumer’s Statute, in order to conclude which are the real changes introduced by the Act, in the Colombian liability system for producers and suppliers.
