Luego de realizar un minucioso estudio del articulo Relativity without light.de N. D. Mermin publicado en el Am. j. phys. en el ano de 1984, se presentan resultados de los alcances que se obtienen al considerar el desarrollo de las Transformaciones de Lorentz y las expresiones para el intervalo espacio-tiempo bajo esta optica. Se investiga las consecuencias y alcance de esta teoria con un solo postulado.
