Se realizo un estudio en 106 pacientes operados de Glaucoma Cronico Simple por la tecnica de trabeculectomia en el servicio de Glaucoma del Hospital Abel Santamaria de Pinar del Rio en el periodo entre 1996 y 2001. El comportamiento en cuanto a complicaciones fue similar en el control de la presion intraocular que evita la progresion del deterioro campimetrico en el glaucoma. ABSTRACT A sample of 106 patients who underwent an operation for simple chronic glaucoma is studied at Glaucoma Service of Abel Santamaria Hospital between 1996 and 2001. The behaviour about the complications was similar to those behaviours registered at previous literature. It was proved that this procedure is very effective for the control of intraocular pressure avoiding the increase of campimetric deterioration in glaucoma.
