This work develops from virtual ethnographic analysis, which tried to realize a discursive analysis of the images exhibited by university students in the social network Facebook. We analysed those images where the body is targeted in a virtual key through different genres. Once these images have been decoded, we recognized life stories, signs and codes that bring into the scene discourses elaborated by the university students, as part of the modern consuming society. Based on this findings, we can identify the need to teach students about audio-visual language, trying to form critical consumers.
