The dimensions of knowledge in organizations put forward several critical elements in connection with the theoretical constructions and the arguments that the issue of knowledge has provoked and particularly, its relation with the intellectual capital that is generated and applied in the field of organizations. The present article is framed inside the emerging paradigms, one of them, knowledge, that as the essential resource in a globalized world allows the companies to have a competitive advantage. The used methodology is framed in the descriptive field of mixed cut, likewise it is delimited in the inductive method and by means of procedures that become concrete in a diagnosis, information retrieval, analysis and discussion of results, to finally come to some findings like the way that it develops, it becomes evident that the intellectual capital in organizations is applied, specifically at the School of Administracion and Marketing of Quindio EAM.
