A general survey of the importance of fruit crops, especially soursop (Annona muricata L.) is presented. The roles of essential elements and water absortion are described chemical synergisms and antagonisms are discussed in relation to plant nutrition. The absortion mechanism is discussed, so are the difficulties te determine nutritional requirements’ in fruit trees in order to apply the restitution law. Priority of elernent absortion is probably K > N > Ca > P > Mg. Deficiency sympton as they appear in nutrient solutions and in the field are described for seedlings and mature trees and are related to tissue analysis. Based on tree canopy size and the content of organic matter, P20s and K20 in the soil, fertilization recommendations are given for different tree ages sizes and crop sites.
