Este articulo reporta un caso clinico de un yegua cuarto de milla de 4 anos de edad que fue recibida en el Centro de Veterinaria y Zootecnia del CES, con una avulsion a nivel del metatarso del miembro posterior izquierdo, con exposicion de hueso y transeccion de los tendones extensores. Se muestra detalladamente el tratamiento realizado mediante osteostixis e injerto de piel y su posterior seguimiento en el manejo de este tipo de heridas abiertas. Abstract This article reports a clinical case of a mare quarter of mile of 4 years of age that was received in the Center of Veterinaria and Zootecnia of the CES, with an avulsion at level of metatarso of the left later member, with exhibition of bone and transeccion of the extensores tendons. One in detail is to the treatment made by means of osteostixis and graft of skin and its later pursuit in the handling of this type of open wounds.
