The consequences of the current international financial downturn since late 2007, point to the return migration as one of the major streams of migration. In Colombia, emigration and return are two characteristics of the migratory process itself, the difference lies in the lower quantification and visibility that has the return address the long tradition of massive emigration of Colombians waves internationally in the early 60s and the transition from the twentieth to twenty-first mainly.
