Quindio in its last years has presented changes in infrastructure, access roads, construction of shopping centers and arrival of stores of big surfaces, generating fast development in some economic sectors. In spite of these advances and after the inclusion of the department in the Cultural Coffee-Producing Landscape (PCC), it does not present significant increase of the tourist request. The present article displays characteristics and perception of the request surroundings to the PCC. In the development of the project, the descriptive and exploratory method was used, grouping categories and variables that allowed to know the perception and characteristics of the tourist. An instrument was applied at random over the municipalities that conform it, showing that tourists do not have an obvious concept of the PCC and arrive to the department for family matters, business, leisure or through information on internet. The procedence of the tourists belongs to the north of Valle del Cauca, Quindio and Spain.
