This article presents results of research conducted with teachers in three educational institutions of the third sector in the municipality of Dosquebradas (Risaralda). These teachers refl ected permanently around the visibility of the construction of the sense of self, in order to exalt his own capacity and transforming their environment. The research takes the senses emerging from the discourses of teachers, which allow daily value and recognize the representations that motivate, give meaning, direction and purpose to their work, personal and spiritual actions. The research is a qualitative approach, the study design is based on the Action Research Participation and focuses the need to look back to teachers to enhance his work and especially his personhood, for which some techniques are used as workshops and autobiographies.
