Conceptualizado el evento sociofestivo de la verbena como expresion cultural de las comunidades populares urbanas de la region, consecuentemente se urde en las raices de los procesos historicosociales del fenomeno desde la Colonia y se muestra, como dicha expresion alcanzo penetrar en condiciones adaptativas las instituciones y la estructura social agraria del Caribe colombiano. ABSTRACT Having considered sociofestive event of the Verbena as a cultural expression of the popular urban communities of the region, it is deepened in the roots of this sociohistorical process of the phenomenon since the colony. It is shown how this expression got successful in permeating the new institutions and the agrarian social structure of Caribe an Colombian Coast.
