The Taccaceae (Liliidae) are known in Colombia only from an old and obscure collection of Tacca parkeri Seem. Two new localities from the department of Guainia are here reported. This variable species is widely distributed in the Guayana region and the Amazonian lowlands. Some comments about morphological variability, flowering time and distribution of this species are also included.
