Para la exposicion de esta hipotesis se utilizan varias fuentes historicas, entre ellas manuscritos del siglo XVIII del padre Jose Domingo Duquesne, quien fue la primera persona en escribir acerca de la posible existencia de un sistema de numeracion escrito utilizado por esta comunidad nativa. EnglishThis paper, proposed the hypothesis of the existence of a numerical system used by the Indians Muiscas, who lived from the sixth century BC to the nineteenth century, in the geographic center of what is now called Colombia, more specifically in the departments of Cundinamarca, Boyaca and part of Santander. For the exposition of this hypothesis we used some historical sources, including eighteenth-century manuscripts, form the churchman Jose Domingo Duquesne, who was the first person in writing about the possible existence of a written numerical system used by this native community.
