Purpose: We report the case of three patients who where treated with topical steroid eye drops for the management ofred eye and because ofthis, they developed steroid-induced glaucoma. Case 1: A fifty one year old men with left eye pterigium; a twenty nine year old woman and eleven year old boy, both presenting allergic conjunctivitis. Results: All patients developed glaucoma induced by use ofsteroids. Conclusions: An indiscriminate, not supervised treatment with topical steroids brings about sorne complications like glaucoma, which finally, deteriorate visual function and quality life’s patients. In order to this, the general practitioner should avoid performing this kind of treatment and he must send these patients to the Ophthalmologist.
