The actual international circumstances of economic and financial crisis have been the determining variables to reconfigure the traditional scheme of international cooperation (North-South). In return, it has emerged the actions of the south-south cooperation and Colombia has not been the exception; therefore it is suggested an analysis of the international cooperation in Colombia and its institutionality and the challenges that have to face in the execution of its foreign policy through south- south cooperation to become an active subject in an international level and regional leader.
