En la Empresa Social del Estado del Hospital San Jeronimo de Monteria, se realizo un estudio observacional, descriptivo, prospectivo donde se determinaron factores de riesgo que influyeron en la mortalidad perinatal, de enero ajunio de 1995, aplicandose encuestas a 92 madres, cuyo producto gestacional termino en muerte perinatal, encontrandose una tasa de 33.4 por 1.000 nacidos vivos. El mayor porcentaje (55.4%), procedia de Monteria. La mayor incidencia fue en el grupo de 35 a 49 anos, con una tasa de 84 por mil; en el grupo de 18 a 34 anos, se presento el mayor numero de muertes (46.7%), en madres de dos o menos partes. El 36% presento intervalo intergenetico mayor a dos anos, el 64.1 % de las muertes ocurrieron durante el embarazo y la causa de muerte que mas se presento fue la hipoxia perinatal (26.1 %). El 57.6% termino su embarazo en parto pretermino. El 55.4% de los partos fueron atendidos por Internos; el dia viernes presento el mayor porcentaje (25%) y de 10 a 14 horas fue la mayor frecuencia. El 49% de las madres no asistieron al control prenatal y un 52.2%, ni siquiera realizaron la primaria completa. ABSTRACT In the State Social Enterparise, San Jeronimo Hospital from Monteria was accomplished an abservational descriptive and prospective studies where Risk Factors were determined that influenced the perinatal mortal y from January to June of 1995, apliying surveys to 92 mothers whose gestational product ended in perinatal death, finding aRate of 33.4 for one thousand born alife.
