Mammographic, ultrasonographic and histopathological appearances of cavernous hemangioma of the breast: one case report Vascular tumors of breast are infrequent. Most parenchymal tumors are angiosarcomas and extra parenchymal tumors are usually hemangiomas. We describe the case of an asymptomatic patient referred to our institution for a biopsy on a superficial nodule identified in screening mammography. Histopathologic diagnosis of cavernous hemangioma was made. The clinical, mammographic, ultrasonographic and histopathological features of this tumor are reviewed.
