The analysis of the faunistic remains found in the prehispanic burial at a locality of Montalvito (Espinal-Tolima) is presented. The six excavated tombs were elaborated during the late formative period (Montalvo Complex) and its temporal asignation corresponds to the first millennium before Christ. The remains found belong to the following taxonomic groups: molluscs, amphibians, reptiles, fishes, and mammals; most of these are part of a funeral offering
