The purpose of the investigation centered on evaluating management by the Academic Vice-Rectors at Zulia Universities, using evaluative-descriptive field methodology and a non-experimental, transectional, descriptive design. The population consisted of 17 authorities in the rectors’ offices at four Zulia universities (URBE, LUZ, JGH and URU). Results showed that in all the educational institutions evaluated, many undergraduate fields of study exist, which, with few exceptions, are similar their offering, the only major differences being in the days and hours the classes are given as well as the mode under which the academic activities are imparted. At the four universities studied, the indicators used were the number of teachers and directors, students passed, failed, repeating and deserting, extension activities, articles and technological transfer. Finally, strategic lines were generated that will allow for strengthening and increasing productivity of the management process in the Academic Vice-Rectors’ offices at Zulia Universities.
