Understanding sustainable development as meet the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability for future generations to meet their own needs, is necessary to present the behavior of the industrial company in Ibague respect of environmental care. This paper, as part of a research project developed by the research groups ECO and GIDEUT of the Universidad del Tolima, in its practical study analyzed 29 companies in Ibague, classified as medium and large which correspond to 16 industrial subsectors. Is realized a descriptive analysis of appreciation of companies managers and/or persons in charge, about environmental policies and ecological monitoring of production processes; in a deeper analysis, of the principal components, are taken 21 variables that are related to environmental aspects, by means of this technique are identified 2 different factors, which brings together those variables that are closely related and others distantly related to the rest.
