This research is done on the area of political-administrative division for the current Department of Narino, Colombia and is dealt with from a sociological, historical, and geographical perspective, from the category analysis: society, space, territory, and their contributions to the development and consolidation of the early ethnic settlements that occupied this land, by means of the study of the time of the conquest, colony, republic, until now. In this way, a multiethnic and multicultural region was generated, historically peaceful, that in a few years became a land where all the armed actors of the Colombian conflict are present, changing its culture and social structure.
