The study of art education in Colombia should take into account the problems of its related fields: education and art. The debate about the delimitation, definition, and legitimizing processes of the notions belonging to this discipline has been a common feature for both fields during the latest decades; nevertheless, they are both usually analyzed separately. This document proposes elements of reflection, with the intention of studying the connections between both fields.
