In this paper, an overview on metal matrix composites (MMC) used in the electric and electronic industries is made. Usually, the useful composites in those sectors corresponding to the light alloys family and they are reinforced with short fibers or particles. So the review is focused on Al, Ti and Mg alloys, their properties and applications.
