A production system is a method, a procedure that develops an organization to transform resources in goods and services. The handmade production elaborates objects by means of the transformation of basic natural raw materials, through processes of non industrial production that involve machines and simple tools with prevalence of the physical and mental work. According to the Organization of the United Nations for the Education, the Science and the Culture (UNESCO, for their initials in English) the momentous importance of the handmade production resides, besides the products in themselves, in the competitions and the knowledge that are indispensable so that this production type doesn’t disappear. From the origins of the colony it has always existed in Venezuela an important handmade development that satisfied part of the necessities of the population’s goods. These called activities” arts and occupations” they represented the secondary sector of the economy and they come from the European tradition of the unions. The diffusion of the polychrome pottery (several colors), characteristic of the temperate and warm regions, it is observed in the mountainous region of The Venezuelan Andes starting from the XIII or XIV centuries of our era, what insinuates that there was so much exchange of elements potters in ways as of decoration. The handmade production was conserved in all the markets of the most developed countries until the beginning of the XX century and it still lasts for many products, more even, some of its main characteristics are being about being implanted in many industries.
