This article deals with the problem of education in the post-modern society. Characteristics of this society are described. With the passage from modernism to post-modernism, human beings have diminished politicization and have gained multiple identities. Then, refl ection on how this kind of society affects education is shown by defending the idea that political education should be oriented towards the consolidation of refl ective and active people. Also, political education is proposed to be a central factor for acquiring plurality. Finally, this paper aims at understanding that education also implies political commitment towards diversity in those societies where cultural changes are constant.
