This article describes and presents an analysis of the results obtained in the study of 14 Web versions of Colombian newspapers as seen from the perspective of the hypermedia and interactivity concepts. Different aspects of these two variables were quantified in orderto identify how much journalists and the media themselves do actually understand the nature and potentialities of the World Wide Web when putting it into practice. The analysis offers in addition some general perspectives on the current state of Colombian digital journalism from the standpoint of the new media theory.
