The biological capacity to produce ears In different nodes on corn plants of the variety ICA V-510 and the improvement in grain production with hand polinization was studied at the Tibaitata, Agricultural Experimental Station. Decapitation internode were done from the flrst to the tenth node and the ears that come out on the nodes were pollinated by hand. The results showed a biological capacity of the plants to grow ears on nodes where normally they do not grow. Size and accumulation of dry matter are very different from normal ears.
