El presente ensayo dilucida la importan­cia de la categoria filosofica existencial del Muntu, como una estrategia de reivin­dicacion de la humanidad y la capacidad epistemica de los afro descendientes en la novela Chango el gran putas y en el en­sayo La rebelion de los genes del escritor Manuel Zapata Olivella.
