El texto estudia la forma como se cons­truye la arquitectura estetica de la novela La maravillosa vida breve de Oscar Wao. Para ello se vale del concepto de “transco­lonizacion literaria” como explicacion a la propuesta etico-estetica del autor Junot Diaz en esta obra. Por un lado, examina el dialogo que se establece entre la cultu­ra dominicana y la estadounidense. Por el otro, analiza la forma como se introducen en el discurso, en ingles, elementos pro­pios del espanol, las voces, los recursos y las recurrencias del habla que dan una sin­gularidad particular a su escritura. Final­ mente, se estudia la integracion de ambos elementos en la configuracion de las vo­ces narrativas que estructuran la novela. ABSTRACT The text explores how the aesthetic ar­chitecture is built on the novel The Brief Wonderful Life of Oscar Wao. This paper uses the concept of “literary transcoloni­zation” as an explanation for the ethical and aesthetic proposal of the author Junot Diaz. On one side, it looks to establish dialogue between the U.S. and the Domi­nican culture. On the other hand, it looks the way it was introduced in the speech, in English, the Spanish elements, voices, resources and speech recurrences giving uniqueness to his particular way of wri­ting. Finally, in this paper it is studied the integration of both elements in shaping the narrative voices that structure the no­vel.
