The cadaver of a 11 year-old male canine Dachshund entered for autopsy to the laboratory of Pathology of Veterinary Medicine and Zootecnia of the Universidad Pedagogica y Tecnologica de Colombia, in Tunja (Boyaca). In the evaluation it was found a mass in the oral cavity, which presented two colorations that varied from white to coffee. There were took samples of the mass in oral cavity, regional lymphnodes, lung, heart and liver preserved in formal dehydeto 10% for histopathology. After this valuation it was concluded that the neoplasm in oral cavity corresponded to a melanoma with melanic and a melanic characteristics.
