ABSTRACT The association between liver diseases and rheumatic di-seases is clearly defined. This association can be classified in three groups:• Liver disease associated to rheumatic disease.• Isolated liver disease, with concomitant hepatic disea-se.• Hepatic liver injury associated to medications for rheu-matic disorders. In most of the cases the liver disorder is mild, and is rela-ted histologically to subtle non-specific findings or to fatty liver. Significant liver disease in the rheumatic population is rela-ted to concomitant liver disorders such as viral hepatitis o alcohol disease, or related to drug hepatotoxicity. The following review shows a report of these cases between 2004 and 2006 at two medical centers and from the perso-nal practice of a Hepatology and a rheumatology clinic.
