The objective of this article is to describe the operation of the sustainabi-lity area of Helm Bank in Colombia, as part of a research project that aims to identify the key learning's in the building and design of such areas. In order to accomplish the objective indicators were defined and grouped in four variables, namely: Area Evolution, Strategic Platform, Division and Coordination of Labor. The outcomes show that the area articulates initiatives and projects transversally throughout all the organization. The projects executed obey the strategy and criteria defined by the organizatio-nal governance of the bank.
