This article points out the most outstanding aspects in the curriculum self-assessment process in Business Administration at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, in Bogota. The main objectives in this work were to analyze the curriculum characteristics in order to carry out an assessment process to obtain better qualification; also, it attempted to analyze all the variables involved in the academic program, such as students, teachers, alumni, subjects, institutional environment, among others, and to identify strengths and weaknesses. The methodology used was mainly primary research, through which the actors’ life history was obtained; secondary information was also used to analyze statistical and other relevant data. Conclusions point out different curriculum possibilities and, therefore, majors in Business Administration are invited to joint efforts in order to improve teaching quality. A follow-up of programs is proposed to achieve better academic quality.
