The main objective of Science, Technology and Innovation Policies is to contribute to the development of the country, however, there are few or inexistent strategies, policies and mechanisms in this policies to help to resolve the armed conflict in Colombia or build the peace based on Science, technology and Innovation. This article explores through the review of the policy guidelines and criteria for the prioritization of programs and projects to be submitted to the Science, Technology and Innovation Fund of the Royalties General System of the country, whether those policies and guidelines contemplate finding solutions to the conflict in Colombia, or if on the contrary, the National System of Sciencie TEchnology and Innovation is in debt in the policy design the contribute building peace in the country.
