This article shows a comparative analysis of the annual evolution of Consumer Price Index, IPC, in Cali and Colombia during 1955 -2005. The work shows generally that inflation in Cali and Colombia have similar behavior in the long run and, there are three great periods: high variability for the first years of decade 70s, increasing tendency for the middle years of decade 90s, and, dropping tendency in 2005. However, an observation of the series on short periods and their composition by level of expenditure and income, Cali and others principal cities of the country, these shows several differences.
