The background of the International Federation of Physical Education (FIEP2) in Colombia must betraced at the Universidad Pedagogica Nacional in Bogota, as being the first higher-education institution whotrained teacher in the area. In this sense, this article is pretended to acknowledge of the teachers and delegates' effort they havedone in our country and at international level to maintain de precepts of the FIEP. Likewise, this article wasconstructed as a contribution of the Colombia delegation to the FIEP 2011 bulletin as a testimony of the pioneersand events which permitted physical education was part of social, political and educational life in each of theLatin-American countries.
