The starting point of an architect's design process is the search of theoretical and technical information, as well as the observation of similar exemplary works. In the case of school buildings, in Colombia there exists a considerable amount of technical documents about standards and basic areas that are necessary for their functioning; nevertheless, no matter how important these documents are, there is not a significative explanation on the relations between pedagogy and school architecture.
