RESUMEN En mayo de 2007 se realizo el Seminario-Taller “La Integracion de las Ciencias Naturales y la Matematica en los Liceos Bolivarianos”, donde participaron numerosos estudiantes de la Escuela de Educacion de la Universidad de Los Andes, asi como docentes, coordinadores y directivos de Liceos Bolivarianos del Estado Merida. Representantes de tres Liceos y profesores de la Escuela de Educacion expusieron puntos de vista y valiosas ideas para conseguir la tan anhelada Integracion de Areas. Los demas participantes realizaron ejercicios de planificacion integrada basados en el metodo de Ensenanza por Proyectos. Aunque se identificaron algunas dificultades por parte de los docentes para elaborar planificaciones integradas, estos evidenciaron motivacion y capacidad para hacerlo. Las impresiones acerca del Seminario-Taller sugieren la necesidad de seguir propiciando espacios de intercambio entre las instituciones educativas y la Universidad como ente formador de futuros docentes. INQUIRING ON THE INTEGRATION OF SCIENCES IN BOLIVARIAN HIGH SCHOOLS Abstract In May 2007 we organized the Seminar-Workshop “Integration of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Bolivarian High Schools”. In this event we had the participation of numerous students from the School of Education of the Universidad de Los Andes, and also teachers, coordinators and directors from Bolivarian High Schools in Merida. Representatives of three Bolivarian High Schools and some faculty from the School of Education exposed points of view and valuable ideas to achieve the much wanted Integration of Sciences. The attendants performed some exercises on integrated planning according to the Project-based Learning Method. Although some difficulties in the elaboration of these plans were identified, the teachers showed they are motivated and capable of accomplishing them. The impressions on the Seminar-Workshop suggest the need for continuing to create spaces for the exchange between educational institutions and the University as the place where preservice teachers are trained.
