espanolEste texto pretende abrir, con un doble proposito, una ventana para la observacion: primero, el de contribuir a cuestionar una concepcion y una practica ingenuas de la observacion y, segundo, identifi car y so- meter a examen los supuestos y premisas que la mantienen anclada a la tradicion empirista, hoy seriamente cuestionada por las epistemologias constructivistas. En este sentido, se ubica el origen de las practicas de observacion en el ambito de la vida cotidiana y se pone en evidencia el caracter problema- tico de trasladarlas al ambito de las ciencias naturales, primero, y luego al de las ciencias socioculturales. Finalmente, considera la necesidad de reeducar nuestra mirada, no solo para aprender a observar situaciones educativas sino tambien para aprender a mirarnos de otro modo. English& is text tries to open, with a double purpose, a window for observation: fi rst, the one of contributing to question an imma- ture conception and practice of observation and, second, to identify and to put under examination the assumptions and premises that maintain observation tied to the em- pirical tradition, which has been seriously questioned nowadays by the constructivist epistemology. In this sense, the origin of the practice of observation in daily life is found and the issue of moving them in fi rst place, to the fi eld of natural sciences and then to the one of socio-cultural sciences, is evidenced. Finally, it considers our necessity to re-educate the way we observe, in order not only to learn how to observe educational situations, but also how to observe ourselves in a diff erent way.
